1. Hello, you guys are from Sampcore right? Please introduce yourselves.
Miyong: Hi Kev! Miyong here and is the one who is doing the pummellings. Sampcore peeps are good friends of ours but we have a newly formed autonomous collective that we call FLOWERGRAVE.

2. How did you guys started as a band? And why Eyes of Fire?
Miyong: After listening to Weedeater and Bongzilla from Tenga’s(Lester) ipod, it made me want to research more sludge/doom/stoner bands and after felling in love with it, Tenga and I came up with the idea to do a side project. Our beloved Nixon(r.i.p brother, you are dearly missed) who used to be the original vocalist, is the one whose responsible for the name of the band, and even though we know that there is already a band that has this title, we still considered the name as a tribute to him. And because the majority of the band are grass tokers, people will already have an idea of what’s Eyes of Fire is all about. Hehehe =}
Tenga: It all begin when we toked a single fat-potent-weed together…and we puff.. and passed to next one… until we choke with all our lungs..And then POOOFF!!! It became EYESOFFIRE!!!
3. What influenced your band to play music? Your music is kinda similar to Eyehategod, Hissing Choir and Corrupted.
Miyong: As I have said earlier, after searching for other bands, there are lots of them that we could consider influential both lyrically and musically, some of them would be JUAN DELA CRUZ, BLACK SABBATH, sleep, electric wizard, church of misery and a lot more.

4. Are you guys planning to record and release stuff?
Miyong: Oh yes! We’ve been planning to record this coming year, if time permits and done with other compositions, we’ll be hitting the studio soon.
Selo: yes.
Tenga: Hopefully this year we can have time to record our songs so it will be easy for me to memorize the sequences..hehe!!
5. You guys played an awesome set here in Lucena last November (CFD tour). How was the experience playing here in Lucena for the first time?
Miyong: thanks for the compliment man but actually it’s not my first time, I’ve already played there with my other band(Execution of Terror, Dead on the Spot[r.i.p]) but for Eyes of Fire playing in Lucena for the first time was an all new experience. All the bands that played that night were really awesome specially Conquest for Death. Playing in Lucena and visiting some good ‘ol friends there are always a good time… to eat chami and smoke!!!

Tenga: CFD tour is my first visit there in Lucena…I have nothing to say about the crowd because its really awesome too…and I feel great to burn some weed with some of my local friends there in Lucena
6. Hategod? or not?
Miyong: It is not God that I hate, it’s them hypocrite that I despise. You know what I’m saying here.

7. Let’s talk about the lyrical content of your songs. What are your songs mostly about? What influenced you guys to write lyrics?
Miyong: It is Tenga who pens most of the lyrics.

Tenga: Its all about mary jane…its all about our euphoric experiences… influenced? Uhhmm…I think its mary jane again and those “clean-living-wannabe-sober-people” who bring most of the harm in the scene and last but not the least FAKE FRIENDS!!!
8. Upcoming plans in the future?
Miyong: I’m thinking of this as a dream… touring?!
Selo: Recording, Demos, Stuffs
Tenga: Burn more weeds and play more shits…
9. Does the members of Eyes of Fire have other side projects?
Miyong: I’m also the drummer of Execution of Terror and planning to have a project with selo.
Selo: Planning to have a Doom/Crust band
Tenga: Im the other vocalist of VEX
